Demon's Souls promises to be the hardcore action RPG experience PS3 owners have been waiting for since the platform's launch. Revolutionary online features support your adventure like never before, presenting seamless interconnectivity that serves in every instance to enhance the single-player game. Team up with two other players in simultaneous cooperative play, working together to topple some of the game's colossal bosses, or force your way into the games of skilled players and challenge them to PvP battle. Leave hints and clues for those who will follow in your footsteps; either intentionally or through your own inadvertent demise, your bloodstains will allow your successors to view a replay of your death, hinting at how to avoid your gruesome fate. This is a terrific RPG. It can be difficult at first until you get the hang of it, but if you invest the time the game is well worthwhile. You begin by picking your character's gender and looks, and then decide on a class. The great thing about Demon Souls is that you can create any kind of character you wish; from a sword wielding warrior, to a pure mage or any combination. The game does require patience because you character will die often. This results in having to restart the level, but as you progress you learn the maps.In all Demons Souls is a game of the year contender and it gives PS3 owners a reason to make Xbox and Wii owners a bit envious.

Demon Souls
A great game but a bit frustrating to start. The game is classic build your own character RPG style. The game has a variety of different enemies and the boss battles are fairly epic. The game offers three styles of play; magic, melee, or archery. You can use any or all of these dependent on how you build your character. There is great online play though there are no lobbies and you can not easily set up a game w a friend unless you agree to meet somewhere in game. All in all a terrific game if you are an RPG fan you need to play this.

The score is based on the quality of the story(if it's a story based game); or the quality of the simulation for sports and music titles. For example, GTA 4, was the story compelling? was it a main feature of the game? Another example would be Tiger Woods, how was the golfing experience? Was it satisfying?Graphic The overall experience of playing the game. This would include how fun was it to play, was it easy to work with? Was the game developed well in all aspects? The overall experience of playing the game. This would include how fun was it to play, was it easy to work with? Was the game developed well in all aspects?Control How well do the controls work? Are the buttons mapped in a way that makes the gamess easy and comfortable to play?Menu map This includes the music, the voice action, and the cut scenes (if there are any).Sound Does this work in a logical way? Does it take you out of the game play experience because you have to leave the main game screen? How are the loading times? If it's a sports game or music game how easy are the menus to navigate? Is it intuitive to get around menus? Overall Is the game worth another play thru? Does the game give you a reason to play again or is one time enough?Replay Is the multi-player strong? Are there multiple options? Is there co-op? If the game has only single player then rate the overall experience. Overall was it a great game(4-5) good(3) mediocre(2) or poor(0-1).The online scoring is based on multiplayer, co-op, and any downloadable content. If a game does not have any multiplayer or co-op, but it does have downloadable content, you can count that as part of the online score. GGR feels that if a game does not provide any online capability then it can not receive a perfect score.
